Plan Bold! Youth Workshops

Plan Bold! is a volunteer initiative led by Master of Planning students at Toronto Metropolitan University. Intro to Planning workshops with high school geography students are the bread and butter of the team, where facilitators meet students in the classroom to share what Urban Planning is, how Planners navigate the complex social, environmental, and political systems, and how they, as community members, can become and remain active in the Planning and community development process. All of this is wrapped up in specially designed, developmentally appropriate lessons and activities that fit within their geography period.

In my role as the School Visit Coordinator, I served as outreach and first point of contact for educators for program enrolment, supported the training of masters and undergraduate students to become facilitators, as well as facilitation and documentation of workshops, multi-session design jams, and more.
